We have an opportunity for our Contributing Artists to show their work at the Boca Raton Historical Society and Museum located at 71 N. Federal Highway in downtown Boca Raton.

What: A juried exhibition of plein air paintings of Historic & Nostalgic Boca Raton / landscapes by Plein Air Palm Beach (PAPB) Contributing Artists.

When: Exhibition will run from Oct. 6 through Dec. 20, 2017

Where: Boca Raton Historical Society and Museum at 71 N. Federal Hwy

Important Information:

Keep in mind that the jury committee will base its decision on the images you upload, so be sure the photo images of your paintings accurately reflects your work. For best results, review the tutorials under the “More” tab on

How to Apply:

On or before the entry deadline of September 10th, applicants must upload images of their plein air paintings that they wish to enter in the Exhibition. Images must be uploaded to the Photo Album titled " Paintings for Boca Historical Society Exhibit" on our meetup website at:

To upload your images:

1) Access our meetup website at

2) Click the Photos tab which will bring up the webpage with all Photo Albums on our meetup website.

3) Locate and select the album titled " Paintings for Boca Historical Society Exhibit”
4) Then, click on "Add photos" (a window appears guiding you to browse your computer and select the file(s) that you wish to upload.

5) After uploading the files, select "Add or Edit Caption" to include the following data for each of the images you uploaded: Artist Name; Title of Painting; Location where painted; Medium; Size (h x w) including frame / For example (Artist: John Smith; Title: Old Town Hall; Location: 71 N Fed. Hwy; oil, 18x15 framed. / $400 ). Note for this exhibit, size must not exceed 26” in width or height

After successfully uploading and labeling the photos of your plein air paintings:

Congratulations! …… Your Image Uploading Process is complete.

A juring team at the BRHS will select approximately 30 to 40 works for the exhibit after the image entry deadline of Sep. 10th. Please note there is no fee to enter, however there will be a nominal fee of $10 for each selected work which will be used to cover expenses of the show and reception.


The artist will receive 70% on any sales of their work sold during the exhibition. There will be a 30% commission 20% to BRHS and 10% to PAPB. All art must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition through Dec. 20th.

Delivery Information:

Work must be framed, edge-finished or gallery-wrapped and wired, ready to hang. Please label on the back with artists’s name, title of work, location where painted, medium, size and retail price.
